• Cleaning Up Windows XP - Startup Programs

1. Clearing startup programs is desirable to avoid clogging your computer on startup.


2. Click Start, then Run, then type msconfig and click OK.


3. Click on the tab marked Startup.




4. Uncheck any items you don’t want included, generally if it isn’t a program you use regularly, part of your antivirus, or produced by your computer manufacturer, then dump them.


5. Reboot, check the box to avoid having the window pop up each time.
